Logo and Branding for Finnish Luthier Juho Ronkainen.
theLOGO...
...is a reflection on classic guitar brand logos. The Key was to create something that will work with different headstock shapes, while placing itself between the Fender and the Gibson Logo (the "The" is are ference to the old "The Gibson" logo). When nailing it between these famous logos, you end up with a logo you can use in a broad variety.I worked off a sketch delivered by Juho.
theLABEL...
...plays with the story of the two Saimaa Norpa hanging out at the lake of Näsijärvi (Tampere, Finland) with the Haulitorni (tower) and two swans flying in the back. A cartoon, yet nostalgic label with a 50s touch in a modern world. Juho is one of the finest luthiers in Finland, a beatup guy, easy going yet very focused with a good sense of humor, so this one fitted perfect for him. Something we came up together.
theWEBSITE...
...has again the cartoony, yet old school feeling, bit like an old cartoony catalog, or advertising sheet in the newspaper. The colour scheme is based on 50/60s custom guitar colours, which is based on theAmerican car industry. The rest is kept very simple so that his work can speak for itself.
CERTIFICATES& INFOSHEETS...
...were created to underline the quality and focus of his work.
